Electronic transitions in metal complexes normally displays

1. Ligand centered transitions (ᴨ–ᴨ* and n–ᴨ* transitions )

2. Charge Transfer Transitions(LMCT or MLCT)

3. d-d Transitions.

But in your complexes CT and LCT only possible and not d-d transition

@ Raj: How do you rule out d-d? Can we rule it out before we look at the ligands/ High spin / Low spin, symmetry etc.? Asking out of curiosity.

First of all you should have some basic understanding of coordination chemistry,  structure and bonding aspects and the classification of ligands.

Please read any basic inorganic chemistry book and that will tell you all the details you are looking for with respect to the electronic transitions in metal complexes.

Read about the crystal field theory, ligand field and M O theory.

After digesting coordination chemistry you are better placed to explain all types of electronic transitions of all transition metals.

I recomend too a basic read about crystal field theory, ligand field and MO theory, bassically you need to know the geometry of your complex and tru molar extinction coefficient  and energy of your bands you can have a ideia of the indenty of the transition, if is possible you can do after this an analysis by a Tanabe-Sugano diagrams to properly indentify the transitions, is difficult to give a short answer about this theme, good luck.
