Hi
We're going to calculate the shear mode of rock specimen.
Thanks
One of the three methods: Corrected Beam Theory (CBT), Compliance Calibration Method (CCM) and Compliance Based Beam Method (CBBM) can be used to calculate the mode 2 fracture toughness. A detailed procedure suggested by ISRM is enclosed.

nice answer
Hi,
It's depend on your method. Experimental or numerical?
Hi Dear Rouhollah
Both methods.
Fracture toughness can be measured from the area under the load displacement curve
B=HE/KIC2. H is hardness.
