Nowadays CBSE is mostly focusing on the deductive way of learning. Unless a student knows the elementary and basic things of the subject, could this system be effective at the middle and secondary level students to grasp the concepts?
One immediate practical example comes to my mind from my experiences with the courses I conduct for 'deductive way of Learning''
If students are taught statistics, give one new uniform pencil of same brand & make to every student and a new steel rule (scale) of same brand & make... ask them to measure the length and collect the data in small slips of paper (post-it) without identity of names .. one who taught should analyse the data to understand what was learnt and clarify the short falls in follow-up class...
It was really a very nice and interesting example. I would look forward to know more from you and thus enrich myself so that more deductive approach could be implemented in the class and still we become able to complete the syllabus in stipulated time.
