I have noticed that several members of RG community have very high RG score, quite often in top 5-10%, with a very modest record of publications, citations or reads and with a very high activity in answering questions on general topics. Is it a good way to be credited for and to build academic reputations on answers like “this is a good question” or “there are loads of such materials on the web”? How on Earth could a researcher with Hirsh index below 10 be in top 1% experts on RG?
