In pandemic of Covid-19 most of the universities are closed and teaching has shifted to various online platforms like Zoom, Google meet, Microsoft Team and more. Keeping students engaged is a real challenge and experimental classes are also being conducted on virtual platform like VLab.
Let us share our views about how to make online teaching effective and what are our best practice we are adopting in this area?

To begin with, teaching online can be synchronous and asynchronous. For the former type, Zoom, Meet, Classroom are widely used for teaching in streamimg. Judging from my experience, Zoom and Meet cannot provide very reliable stable connection for a high number of students, also, it's difficult to estimate students' progress with these app. Actually, I prefer Moodle platform, which can allow teachers much better analysis of the students' progress, it's really a great and powerful tool for online/blended teaching.

In my opinion, one should study the understanding of a certain platform and how to communicate on that platform so that the interaction between teachers and students is as effective as possible.
It is interesting to use different platforms, especially those that can guarantee that the answers to the exams are really made by the students themselves and not by someone else.
For online examinations there are several applications based on AI wherein one can conduct proctored examination similar to a physical situation. AI provides capabilities to monitor activities of students by capturing voices and images to identified that no cheating is committed by the students.
