I mean, did the researcher first find out the parameter to confine or do they just carry out experiments and later they find out, for example 1D, 2D or 3D nanostructures?
It is a process that depends on the ratio of the compunds added that the nanostructure is made of. I mean, Cd-Se for example, the ratio between the amount of Cd/Se you add is not the same to obtain QDs, nanorods or tetrapods.
@Ivan Castello Serrano Thank you very much for your answer with relevant example, but i want to know is it like hit and trial method or we can really figure out theoretically on paper that these are the listed parameter which if we can monitor by any means (like in your case ratio of Cd/Se) and predict yes via this we an obtain particles, or rods or wires etc
