Unfortunately, the literature on farmer mental health is mostly limited to Western countries, more than half of the literature consists of scientific studies from the USA and Australia. While I think that the existing literature will help you in your initial studies, I think that the literature may be insufficient in understanding the Nigerian context.

I believe that many studies are needed to understand the mental health of Nigerian farmers and that this will make your work more valuable. Exploratory qualitative studies can be a valuable tool in understanding the psychological processes specific to Nigerian farmers.
