How do you map PTMs of a protein of interest?

Dear researchers,

my objective is to map PTMs of one protein of interest. So far, there has been no prior knowledge about any PTMs of this protein. I am able to purify and digest the protein, and run bottom-up MS. Is it realistic to use the bottom-up dataset to search any PTMs of this protein on Proteome Discoverer? I appreciate it very much on your advices towards my questions.
