For oxidation behavior, the weight gian per unit surface area v.s. time is plotted. To know whether this behavior follows a parabolic or cubic rate law, squared or qubic (\DeltaW/A)^2 or \Delta W/A)^3 is plotted verses time, respectively. Whichever plot yielded to a stright line (such as the one drown below), the oxidation behavior follows that law (Cubic in this case). I thought oxidation kinetics will be the slope of the line, but this is not the case in many papers. Please see the attached plot and list the answer step-by-step on how to find kinetics constant Kc. Thanks.
