I would like to know about different strategies that can be applied to triangulate Think-Aloud data. My focus is to understand the cognitive process underlying the judgement of learning.
It seems that the research method is established before collecting the data. In the case of the "think aloud" habit one could measure it obtrusively and unobtrusively.Obtrusively by actually asking the students in the sample about this habit, and unobtrusively, by watching them do it , on a daily basis.
Thank you Avishag & Nirmala for your inputs. @Avishag..we were considering to include eye tracking as an objective option to support the Think Aloud data; but had to opt out after carefully considering the effort/complexity Vs output of eye tracking with respect to my objectives. Hence, was looking for an alternative strategy to triangulate the TA data. @Nirmala...the article is an excellent one. It was very informative.
