I would like to use Boolean operators in a search HERE at Research Gate. For example, I may want hits WITH the exact phrase "signal processing" AND the word "communication" but WITHOUT the term "professor". How to do it? Is it explained elsewhere? Where?
I tried the Google search syntax but did not obtain the desired results.
Usually these capabilities in search are offered by regular expressions, available in grep (UNIX) or C# or perl. I checked: there seems to be google API to conduct theses searches ,so there's work to do.

Ah M Kamal Ismail Chamseddine Thanks for your input. I have edited my question to emphasize that I am asking about Research Gate's OWN search bar. That is, I am NOT writing an application or program, just using the search function right here at this site.
For example, at google's search, I would achieve the desired result (see OP) with:
("signal processing" AND communication) -professor
"AND" and the parenthesis may not be needed in this example but are added for clarity.
Here at RG the same syntax would not yield the desired result.
