I created my original research gate profile under my full name "Frank Gordon Kirkwood" and I loaded my publications on that. Now someone else has uploaded a report which I co-authored, where my name is listed as "Gordon Kirkwood" and having accepted that the author was me, Researchgate has created a second profile for me.
