I have been trying to extract data from TripAdvisor for my Master thesis. However, I can get only the english reviews. The reviews in other languages I can not extract. If someone could help, please I would appreciate it.
This is a good question but I have an idea that might be so simple it may or may not work. If you have a smartphone like an android or iPhone. Just ask it, like, "Hey Google, what's ___________ in Japanese?" For example. Or whatever languages you need. And it should repeat the information your looking for back to you.
That's the only idea I can think, unless you go to the Trip Advisor website and look up the questions there. They might have language opinions available on their website, after all, they do serve international customers. Good luck!
When you click on All Reviews, reviews will be listed in chronological orden (last first) in the language they were submitted. Thus, if the last 50 reviews were submitted in English, that's wha t you'll see.
You can select a different language, but only those languages in which reviews for that business have been written in. Thus, if you'd like to read reviews in say, Japanese, but the business was reviewed by people writing English only, or English and German, and on one submitted a review in Japanese, then that language won't be available in the Language filter.
To pick one of the languages, just click on the circle to the left of the language name.
