For above said properties what are the parameters need to be considered? Is the weight is the only parameter to calculate the % of Chemical Resistance, Swelling, and Moisture Absorbance Behavior for Polymer Composite Materials?
In my book I propose the procedure to ensure which polymers may be use with biofuels (different, another, aggressive environment). First, make few tests (density, shape change, tensile strength, Young modulus, surface change, roughness change) of material in ambient condition. The same test make in chemicals dedicated to use with polymer (in time, eg. after 10, 20, 50, 120 days). From the simple counting you will have the possible change of properties. Possible means: 'secure'. After that measure same properties after same expose time into the new environment. If changes will be higher than 'secure' you will have answer if material is compatible with environment or not. Is some materials would pass above 'exam' it could mean that one may take into consideration to pay for test in accredited laboratories for compliance with the standards according to application of material.
Of course, the KEY is not the test but application of materials. Another for medicine, another for offshore, another for frame of car - and if You will try you will find many of standards according to application of materials.
