I have a heated source emitting photons. The energy emitted from wavelength1 to wavelength2 is known (using plank's distribution law). Now I need to find the number of photons emitted between this wavelength range.
The number of photons isn’t fixed-it has a probability distribution. Finding that is the topic of the exercise. And the answer can be easily found by searching for ``photon number distribution’’ in your favorite search engine and then thinking about what the results mean.
