Looking for a method to eliminate air bubbles on butyl inner tube?
there are blisters on cured butyl inner tubes, is this a compounding problem or machinery process?
It could be both. The compound could have too much moisture in it which at high curing temperatures leads to formation of steam pockets that are responsible for blisters.
As for processing characteristics - you could increase the temperatures and/or slow down the extrusion/injection.
These are some general ideas. If you're injection molding the cause could also be inefficent venting of the mold etc.
If its compression molding, there's a technique called as "breathing"..
