Actually, i am searching a software in order to investigate the relation between refractive index of the bone (Volume mass fraction) with micro wave frequencies, which are widely used in biomedical science.
Thanks for your interest in order to help me.Actaully, I want measure the relative permitivity of bone with variation of microwave frequency from 1ghz to 10 ghz.Becuase, as you know during the antenna designing, dielectric material is used as a base plate.if the dielectric constant of antenna is matched with the bone , then it could give the accurate result while dealing with osteriopsis cases.
I would suggest using a coaxial or stripline measurement system. Your bone specimen will have to be machined to fit precisely in the measurement apparatus, but you'll get permittivity data for that entire band with one measurement. At microwave frequencies, the permittivity of biological materials is driven by water content. Thus, in vivo specimens will have different permittivities than ex vivo. You might be able to find references with the info you're seeking as well.
