there are some theories that we can get required signals by EMG from that organ when it is inuse. so we can design orbits that do that movement in the same situation.by this way perhaps we need less wires and have more beautiful thing!
It depends of which artificial organ you plan to do or explore. First, the artificial kidney is one of artificial organs. The next sample are teeth prostesis or artificial vessels or part of heart. In agreement with your research interests I think you work with the structures of CNS. Some of conductive materials (polypyrrole) are used for this aim.
