As we know, the robots are the future and we should at least educate our children at least on the basics of robotics, so how can we do this? any ideas?
The simplest method to build robot system by using arduino processor circuit and program this processor by arduino software program to control the movements of robot. You can find how use this technique in the net.
The most basic method I can imagine is by giving them access to programming at a young age. Then they will gradually understand how the computer works. Making your children appealed to the world of robotics is the most important thing to do, I think.
Showing robots in real live, choosing the most visual actractive, and giving the explanation how they work, may comparing the main principles with us, I mean comparing with perception and reaction in human beings. It have worked good to me when I invite children to this fantastic world
The basic method is to make them familiar with robotic applications. Guide them to watch robotic systems and let them see robotic stuff in exhibitions if possible. Do things to make curiosity in them. If they have curiosity, obviously they will be seeking the resources to learn. After that, you can guide your children to make small robotic systems with Arduino and robotics gadgets. Most probably that's enough to comprehend very basics in robotics.
Very good field to satisfy it, Robotic is futur of every thing, so, a bsic lectures must be fixed for those students in the first level and second of stydies.
After identifying that the children has curiosity/interest in robotics (as mentioned above by Mr. Kasun Gayashan), I think the next step is introduce some toys (I have a boy, 5 years old) that will help them start to create a "logic" way of thinking - toys such as: "PRIMO" from Kick Starter crowdfunding - in which the basic concepts of logical programming will be learned in a very friendly and fun way. Obviously, for kids a little bit older, they can be introduced to a slightly more complex concepts and tools, such as Arduino, and also to structured programming languages. Lego is a good option as well.
It is possible that if there is enough time to sit with your children in a small home workshop that works games for them in the form of small robots, they will grow up to love these things and then get to know them.
