Recent studies showed that variable rate irrigation technology can be used in pivot systems for the monitoring of irrigation practices and enhancing water and nutrients use effieciency, I am looking for information on how to apply this concept of variable rate irrigation in drip fertigation systems using hydrogeophysical techniques such as electrical restistivity and electromagnetic induction?

Variable rate fertigation is usually applied in thos esoil conditions having wide spatial variability in soil conditions , translating into wide variation in plant stand , annual or perennail crops. Accordingly , we need to identify managment zone s, fixing the variable rates and later implementing them to maximise the crop output from that variable field with savings on both nutrient and water .
