Droop control is a control strategy commonly applied to generators for primary frequency control to allow generator operation.
It is easy to build your model in the Mat./Simulink or PSCAD/EMTDC depending on your mathematical model using package models inside two softwares. The main important things are your system data and the initial conditions for your system operation.
I think you can do that easily without any problem, but you must know more skills in how to present your results with higher quality.
The droop itself is simply a gain block with negative gain setting. The value normally is some -10%...-2%, typically -5%. Input to the block is the actual (measured) power of the DG. The block output is fed to a summation block with positive sign. Other inputs to the summation block is the speed setpoint (positive sign) and the actual speed of the DG (negative sign). The summation blocks output is the PI(D) speed controller input.
It might be that user's manuals of (diesel/turbine) speed controllers contain more helpful information. At least they should contain control schemes.
