A lot of teachers make the mistake of focusing on the material rather than the students. T It very rarely works. teachers can apply some strategies to impress them effectively.
Dear researchers, how can you impress them in your classes?
It depends on the level of the students. Theoretically, there are several tips to impress your students in classes. Your procedures and personality play a major role in impressing them. For example, flipped classes are expected to provide students with background knowledge, before coming to class, about what will be done in class. Keeping students busy and engaged most of the time is also helpful. Additionally, using the elements of the framework of the lesson effectively can help the teacher maintain the interest and excitement of the students in class as follows:
1. The beginning of the lesson: Start your English class with an ice-breaker that aims to activate students and engage them in activities. The ice-breaker can also connect the previous lesson with the one - revision.
2. The presentation stage has to be done in the simplest way using adequate methodology and appropriate aids as they are always appealing to students. Brainstorming increases student's curiosity. Question and answer will arouse motivation and readiness and the courage to use the language.
3. The practice stage: Free practice that involves well-prepared activities in role-playing, problem solving, debates, etc. reinforce what has been learned in class.
4. Ending the lesson which aims to evaluate the teacher work, the goals that have been achieved, and what has been learned, is an opportunity to have fun in different practices.

What do you mean, impress, friend? Because if you were to ask me, we need not impress our students. We just have to teach extraordinarily well. and we'll indirectly communicate our knowledge of the course content and our pedagogical skills. Our 21st century students are smart enough to notice them. Nevertheless, if we feel impressing them will help trigger and boost their acquisition of knowledge and values, then nothing is wrong doing it. . . we impress them by showing them we're much into our craft for them to learn.
Teachers, who only concentrate upon the taught topics, will act like machines & not human beings. The great aim of school or university education is to pass on knowledge as well as constructive attitudes "scientific, ethical, rational, critical thinking, free expression of opinion…etc.".
A teacher can impress the students very well if s/he demonstrates an exemplary attitude of honesty , truthfulness, objectivity, kindness, good utilization of opportunities, and time management.
Students usually do not like it from a teacher who praises himself/herself. Let the deeds or actions speak & not your words about yourself.
As we all know a teacher is a mentor, a guide for a life and responsibility of a teacher transcends beyond immediate academic goals.
I remember so vividly the nervous flutter of my heart , when I 1st stepped into a formal school. I was so damn scared to enter a new world away from the safe haven of my home and parents. I remember, oh so well Mrs.Ganguly who with her reassuring smile and warm grip led me towards my class. There was an air of placidity and warmth about her which repelled all my fears and misgivings as I launched myself in the world of formal education.
I guess as a child, more the trust factor a teacher can promote the more the students will get impressed.
Secondly from my personal experience I can say, a teacher who presents his or her well attracts attention of the students. As in, a well dressed teacher makes an emphatic impression on the students. Students look forward to attend the classes of the teachers who are dressed well.
A teacher has to be updated beyond what she is teaching in the class. Inspite of having a command over the subject matter that is to be a taught a teacher has to share outside knowledge with the students to arouse their interest.
In the era of technology, a teacher has to exploit all the technical resources available to make her teaching methods more modern and advanced!
Along with the professional approach a teacher has to extend a personal touch which would prove to be a miraculous connect with the students.
Nowadays teachers are under tremendous pressure and always under scanner. Despite all the pressures if they maintain the above guidelines I am sure they will have a fulfilling career ahead!
