I study in the humanities department but I like to do research in science. If I do research in science, will society recognize me as a researcher in the social conditions of Bangladesh? If so, what are the ways to get institutional recognition?
My opinion as an interdisciplinary scholar of archaeology and astronomy (archeoastronomy) in Indonesia, to get recognition from society as a social researcher, the research needs to have a social impact, whether your mathematical or scientific calculations can provide fundamental knowledge or at least transform existing conceptual/thought in society. For example, in my field, archeoastronomy, it tends to be able to provide a new interpretation of an object related to the sky and tailored to the ethnographic data of the surrounding community. This may support you to be recognized as a social-humanities researcher, even though your study uses a scientific approach.
Furthermore, institutional recognition may be obtained through good publications in globally indexed journals or Scopus, where the impact can be read by researchers who have institutions and substantial interests.
