Hi everyone, we conducted hot tensile test for evaluation of hot workability of Ha 188 (superalloy). i want know, how can calculated onset of recrystallization and also overcome it DRX (peak stress)? i read some literature about onset of recrystallization, they plotted work hardening rate versus stress and so inflection of it known as critical condition (onset of DRX) and also when work hardening rate equal zero it mean peak stress (overcoming of DRX) but all of this conducted for hot compression test, can extend it for hot tensile test too?
The reason why compression (or torsion) tests are preferred over tensile tests in DRX studies is due to challenges in distinguishing between the change of work hardening slope as a result of necking or dynamic restoration phenomena. Unless studied through accurate optical measurement techniques, it would be a real challenge to distinguish between the contributions of necking and work softening in the slope change on the work hardening curves obtained from a tensile test.
In hot compression tests, instability does not show itself in the form of necking and therefore it would be a lot easier to determine the peak stress and DRX critical and peak strains in this kind of testing.

i think , the compression strength is the same values of tensile strength but vis the direction so that lead dispersion the values of crystallization
