The pulse generator block is not accessible for external firing angle control. Also the switch used is thyristor. kindly help me with the closed loop control of the firing angle of thyristor to maintain constant dc voltage irrespective of load changes. Simulink suggestions would be appreciated. Also suggest if free-wheeling diode should be added.
the pulse generator block will accept external firing angle control by clicking PWM properties in that select external timings... so that u will get an option to give external firing angle .
I thank you all for your valuable suggestions. I am using an SCR so PWM block cannot be used. Hence I used a PI controller in the feedback to estimate the error between set point and actual voltage. I used this error to formulate a delay for the gate pulses generated using matlab m-function code. This worked.
