Shohin Aheleroff While I am still waiting your answers for my questions!
Also explain why you try to attract researchers, (way far too many of them are young innocent people who are not familiar with dark side of scientific publishing) to Frontiers, a predatory publisher according to Beall's List of predatory publishers & journals?
Dear Rahim Alijani Thank you for your comment and for sharing Beall's report. I appreciate your engagement with the topic. To clarify, this post is intended as a platform for discussion and knowledge sharing regarding the intersection of Industry 4.0 technologies and the pursuit of Industry 5.0 goals. I believe this discussion provides an opportunity for valuable contributions and insights that may align with the themes covered by journals like Frontiers.
In light of your comment, I will reach out to the journal to seek clarification on any concerns related to Beall's report. I encourage everyone to contribute their thoughts or perspectives on this evolving and critical area.
I welcome any additional insights you may have on this matter.
Dear Rahim Alijani please find the response from the journal.
"Thank you for sharing your concerns. It is correct that Frontiers was temporarily included in the list, which you can see through the link is now an 'archived list.' The list was the personal opinion of a librarian and was not endorsed by his university employer. Due to the controversial nature of the list, it was unpublished 3 years ago. Beall listed journals for not providing expected publishing services such as peer review, archiving, and editing. However, Frontiers has a rigorous peer review."
Dear Shohin Aheleroff I appreciate your answer, but here is also mine. For people like me, you and many others, beall's list is not the only reference. We are familiar with the world of publishing in sciences and know well what is happening.
So please have a look at this page from Frontiers
https://www.frontiersin.org/about/history
for example there we read
285,000 published articles in just 2021. How is it possible to handle so many published articles?, from submitted manuscript to peer review to revisions and editing etc.?... how many rejected (if any!)?
We don't need just to refer to beal list, we can think!
Please read my detailed part three answer to a related discussion about MDPI. You will see similarities.
Dear Rahim Alijani Thank you once again for raising the question regarding the number of published articles, which, from my perspective, is relatively high. As an individual, I am committed to maintaining the quality of my work and will not compromise under any circumstances. I strongly believe in our ethical responsibility, particularly when it comes to publishing in the sciences. I hope everyone contributes ethically to fostering a better academic community.
