How can I remove the fish smell from fish leather without altering with the properties of the leather??

I have a challenge removing the smell of fish from fish leather.

Dear Peter. We are working in the same challenge. We are avoiding use of lime and sodium sulfide and thinking that is the reason because of don't remove the smell fish completely.
