"What I use is a 2 step heating . Right now my parameters are first one 65.8 and second 48. You should try different temps until you find the correct ones for your own settings. That will change with the RT of your lab , your glass brand and the "age" of your filament. I use 3 weights not 4. In general my first temp varies from 60 to 65 and second one from 45 to 48. When I put a new filament, I try different temps. I use the one step system to find out the first temperature. You increase until it can melt the glass and then you move to two steps, and try to adjust the second temperature. I usually do several pipettes at different second temps, and go to my rig to test the resistance. Then I can make a list that I keep in front of my puller so I can change pipette sizes if needed just by looking at the list. that's it! it is easy, but needs some time of adjustment. Otherwise I love this machine. Is reliable and quite constant. I change the filament every other year, but I definitely adjust the temps because the filament gets used with time. My glass is from sutter, 1.5mm with filament. Hope it helps! "@Paula Parra (с).
