First: The purpose should not be getting citations. Citations are only a tool to monitor the impatc of your work and this bibliometric has several defects. So citations express how the scientific society is using and relying on your work. Here are two necessary points os that the scientific society knows and uses your work.

1. Work on improtant issues and publish papers that tackles current puzzles in science.

2. Increase the exposure of these papers to the scientific community by adding it to multiple platforms like RG, Academia and even share them regularly on social media (altemetrics). Send electronic copies of your paper to experts in the field all over the world.
