I want to use Field-emission scanning electron microscope for nanomanipulation to Functionalize the surface of polymer (i.e. conducting polymer: Polyaniline), Can I do this?
In a FESEM the beam width is too small maybe it is useful for fictionalization of a few manometer pore but that is not enough for must of nanostructures. I suggest plasma modification instead. Any conjugted polymer can be deposited by plasma extremely uniform with small thickness. The process can be done in ALD manner if you have good mass flow controller on you PECVD.
