Hi everyone,

I'm currently using Tosca Structure through Abaqus/CAE to perform topology optimization. The optimization process runs successfully, and I can see that it affects the structural layout as expected.

However, after the optimization is complete, I'm not sure how to extract the optimized geometry or mesh for further use. Specifically, I'm trying to:

  • Export the optimized shape as an STL, STEP, or any CAD-compatible format
  • Use the optimized result as the basis for further finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Or reimport the geometry into Abaqus for shape optimization

I couldn't find any .f3d, .t3d, or .stl file in the output folders, and I'm not sure whether there's a standard method to generate them from the result of the optimization process.

Could anyone please guide me on the correct workflow to extract the optimized mesh/geometry after Tosca optimization?

Any tips, tools, or file conversion methods would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
