Perahps using a modling approach.  Although I am not an expert in modelling C sequestration, I am aware that some modeles such as 'DayCent' and 'Century' have been tested to account these interactions at agro-ecosystem level.

The no-tillage practice may help soil carbon sequestration. But fertilization and crop residue! its very difficult to answer. Because we know if labile carbon (in the form of crop residue) increase in soil also increases the microbial activity that mean increase in soil respiration (indirectly increase in CO2 emission). Now the carbon sequestration is? If we increase in fertilization after rate it may increase in crop production (indirectly in small context may help in carbon sequestration) but if we focus on effect long term fertilizer use on soil property it may reflect with carbon sequestration concept.

This above point may help with take us towards more attractive, appropriate answer and thoughts of RG peers.

Thanks for your detailed answer.

Different mechanism plays an role in C dynamic under these agricultural practices. The stimulation of labile C on microbial activity is the priming effect of fresh organic C. The C sequestration depends on the difference of  C input and output. The fertilizer sequester C by increasing crop production and resultant residue input to the soil. The no-tillage sequester C by decreasing SOC decomposition. Therefore, I look for suitable approaches to estimate the integrated effect of these practices on C sequestration.

I think you can use linear model to evaluate the contribution of the factors with and without interactions to the estimated sequestered carbon. Long term data seem better.

Only long-term experiment involving treatments of tillage , fertilizer application and crop residue incorporation  can help in finding the interactive effects of these treatments but the interaction of the treatment may depend upon type of crop /cropping system, soil texture and climatic condition of the site

(1) Address this question requires a structured long-term experiment;

(2) Empirical model can be developed to predict  future SOC changes based on the long-term experiment data;

(3) The rules of SOC changes can be studied by meta-analysis of many experiment data.
