I am configuring a speedgoat target machine. Hence, I try to test my host-target communication with the Matlab command slrtpingtarget, but I get the following error: “Target has an invalid version of xPC Target”. In addition, I found in some websites that this occours because the boot disk is created on a different version of MATLAB than the one I have on my host. However, I couldn’t fix it yet.
you must configure the IP address of the real time explorer of Matlab according to the IP address of Speedgoat Target machine. There are a quick installation guide that come with the target machine Follow the instructions in this quick guide.

This problem can be solved by updating the Kernel of the target machine.
This is fairly simple. You need to create a boot disk using 'Removable Disk' in a Pendrive formatted with FAT32 from the host machine and copy three files created during this process into the target machine using DOS prompt.

Note: Prior to copying the system files send a *.txt file into the target for testing.
