For my Master Thesis, I need the data of all stock prices on the NYSE, NASDAQ and Amex. Is there a possibility to download all the stock prices of one exchange at once, rather than downloading thousands of firms one by one? I have access to the Datastream database at this moment.
In my opinion, you should write a query to the Marketing Department of the NYSE Stock Exchange or department dealing with contact with external institutions asking for this type of data with an explanation for what research purpose, for which data is needed, specifying the type of files in which this data will be saved and what additional information should be included in addition to stock prices.
