I want to know the passivation potential and passive zone of magnesium alloy. However, I do not think magnesium alloy are suitable for anodic polarization curve test. Because before it reaches the passivation potential, the passive film on the surface of magnesium alloy would undergo local failure. (This film is often regarded as loose and could not provide complete protection)
Is there any other way to determine the passivation potential of the magnesium alloy?
