Hi everyone,

I need your help. I am working on a project in strategy marketing which is about corporate scandals and I need to define and measure what is a "corporate scandal." I work with secondary data by merging databases.

My first question is: There are product recalls, corporate problems, corporate crises, and so on, but my issue is: "When does it become, or can we consider it as a corporate scandal?" Where are the boundaries between problem, crisis, and scandal?

My second question and issue is about the level of a corporate scandal and how to measure a corporate scandal: small, medium, big. How can I define the level of a corporate scandal? Do you think I need to define and choose arbitrarily their level and (of course) justify my choices OR is there any scale and articles (in top journals) that I can rely on?

I appreciate your valuable comments and I thank you in advance for your help.

I wish you a productive day.

Best,

Dimitri
