I have a data file provided by Perkin Elmer (DSC 8500), and I would like to read it by Universal Analysis. However, the program does not recognize DS8D files and it requires files in *.TAI or *.0* format.
As far as I know, you can import (or paste on) data to Universal Analysis data file as table format. I think you would simply transfer your PE data to TA software via excel or another grap. program as x-y columns.
You must have to export data into ASCII format as this format will be executable for both Perkin Elmer data files and TA Instrument files. The alternate option is using MS-Excel or Origin Pro 8 to plot x- & y-axes data.
Unfortunately there is no option in Universal Analysis to import (or past on) data files as table format. As I said before, the program does not recognize any data file except files in *.TAI or *.0* format.
Indeed, it is a useful method but it doesn’t work with the text files that I have. When I tried to import the text files, the program displays the data format information in the data file (*.txt) is missing or corrupted.
