I need to simulate comunication among cars, i tried to do it by combining sumo and omnet (with veins projoct) but i coulden't manage the routing protocol' so i decided to try it with sumo and ns-3 (insted of omnet). Does anyone know how to combine them? is there a tutorial or a working set of orders (like veins and omnet)? Any help would be greatly appreciated

you can link SUMO and NS3 'online' or 'offline:
Offline: create trace file from the mobility of SUMO. Then use Ns2MobilityHelper to use those trace files within NS3
Online : use iTETRIS or VSimRTI which combine SUMO and NS3 and mobility of nodes is 'live' and you can change it within your scenario.

I dont know about NS-3, but I know that NetSim has an automatic interface with SUMO. You can create the vehicle network (Traffic / Roads etc) in SUMO GUI and set the Communication network (Routing / MAC etc) in NetSim GUI and run simulations. I am not sure if I need to do it online or offline, I just want to be able to simulate cars moving in a real world map (sumo) and they should communicate with the OLSR protocol as their routing protocol (ns-3).
I would like if you can send me a tutorial on the linking steps I should take.
In addition do you know wheather I can set the routing protocol in ns-3 to be OLSR (vanet routing protocol)
