I have Calculated Horizontal Derivative in X and Y directions. Bur i have to calculate THD using Geosoft Software. How it can be done?
Export it and then just square each and sum and then take the square root
use Geosoft Math tool. square the X and Y derivative grids and then take a square root of the sum. The math function is in the Geosoft Oasis montaj.
In the geosoft project environment, select GX menu. Go to Load Menu, click and select 1d-fft.com. Then the FFT1D will appear in the main menu now. Under this FFT1D menu, scroll and select Horizontal Derivative (is for both x and y directions). Open the database if not already open. Apply this filter to the appropriate channel (Bouguer anomaly field) in your database, giving also in the prompt box, the output channel name and the order of the derivative. Then press ok. This output channel is the required answer to your question.
