Long juvenaility of citrus hybrid seedlings is the major hindrance in crop improvement programme. Apart from rootstock, other innovation methods should be discussed.

Is it not possible by selecting the parent species having short juvenile phase during the citrus hybridization programme?
First:Try to forced the juvenile growth as rapid as possible.
Secondly:The graft from one year old seedlings should be top grafted into common dwarf rooststock which is aviable in your condition.
Third: try to chance the period and dormancy per year twince, if its possible.
I thing the parensts could have also some influance as we know from other fruit crops but not so much significant, as Mr.Gurteg Singh mentoined.
I am evaluating zygotic F1 seedlings (identified by SSR markers) of intra-specific crosses of mandarin through rapid evaluation system (single stem up to 8 feet), at PAU, Ludhiana but not got success in the reduction of of juvenile phase to 3 years. Hoping for the flowering in 4th year, if yes I will be lucky. Otherwise the seedlings will take 6 years to flower in citrus.
Dear Gurteg, try to give a zygotic F1 seedlings two vegetation period and rest.
