Biosensor or better nano-biosensors can be used to detect specific plant metabolite such as flavanols in tea/coffe by enzymatic oxidation or other oxidation reaction. I would like to know whether some specific type of oxidative enzyme  can be used for detection of these bio-compounds?  Or can these type enzyme be encapsulated with nanomaterials for specific response and signal enhancement? If so, what type of detector (electrical or optical) can be used for quantitative detection of these compounds? Please suggest.
