How accurate is the political persuasion horseshoe argument in terms of individual rights? My answer: Both generally the far-right and generally the far-left show less concern for individual rights than modern liberals do(hence both their support or ignoring of Russia invading Ukraine. Also their combined disapproval of NATO). In order to have individual rights in practice, an economic basis must be awarded to each individual in terms prescribed by reciprocity and fairness. Thus, given Wagner's Law of growing economic externalities due to industrialization(part of the creation of the modern world due to human networking), modern liberalism is the most effective political system in maintaining individual rights.
There are no absolute individual rights. There are always limits to exercising rights, even in liberal countries, because your freedom ends when the freedom of others begins, and therefore absolute rights are fatal to all ideologies.
Horseshoe theory is generally considered bunk, I think. As someone else wrote, though, there's no such thing as absolute individual freedom. On the far-right, people's rights would be determined by the leader and they would favor the dominant group. On the left, everyone's rights would be limited by the provision of what everyone needs.
Of course individual rights are NOT absolute. To some cultures, such as Russia, individual rights are less protected. In others, such as Ukraine, individual rights are more highly valued. Neither collective nor individual rights are absolute.
