Please keep in mind that Security Risk is not the only IT risk. IT Risk also includes Privacy Risk and specific risk related to IT Management. Nowadays Safety Risk is becoming more prominent as we rely on IT (and AI) more and more.
As modern day organizations are more and more IT dependent, IT Security (and InfoSec) risks are considered some of the most critical operational risks, alongside compliance risks obviously. Perhaps, in broader perspective, how sound IT risk management process impacts enterprise risk management efforts can be an interesting topic. Or, something more specific such as internal factors that influence IT risk management within ERM can also be explored.

IT/IS risk has made its way to boardroom. As organizational management is now being held responsible for not protecting the company's sensitive information they are taking a closer look at risk. And with that, IT/IS risk is generally now part of the overall enterprise risk program. There is an educational piece to let the rest of the ERM team understand how IT/IS risk is measured but this is a growing need in the US and is the one area there are few folks that are capable of doing this work (too much of the IT/IS focus here is on technology not process).
