I am a high school teacher. Students are looking at a type of activity assay for planaria. The students measure the cumulative number of lines crossed, measured each min for 5 minutes. The animals will be compared based on different treatments. For example, sample data below. How would we compare Cumulative Lines Crossed between CumA CumB and CumC? over the 5 min period?

You could calculate the average rate of line crossing for each animal over 5 minutes, which is the slope of the linear regression best-fit line passing through the origin.

Once you get the slope lets say for example the student generates three lines one best fit line for Control, another for 1 percent of tested solution and 5 percent of tested solution. We have three slopes to compare. Is there a way of statistically comparing the slopes to see if there is a difference among slopes that is greater than by chance?
