It is better to publish our results in journals specific to the topic and aim of our research. Beacuse this will enhance the knowledge of researchers in that particular field.
Not everyone can get access or subscribe to all journals. If the research works are published in field specifc journals, those interested or working in that particular area can subscribe that partcular journal rather than subscribing or purchasing a multidisciplinary journals for only a few related articles.
I agree with you colleagues. In my opinion publishing in one favourite journal (or in a reduced number of favourite journals) is more beneficial than continuous changing of journals in time.
Dear Maurice, it is very difficult reply to your answer, it depends mainly on branch or field. But generally I prefer 2 medium-rank journals and 1 top-rank journal from the whole spectrum of journals in my field (forensic pathology). I believe that precise knowledge of the submission process and particularities of certain journal bring me higher proportion of succesful admissions than more or less regular changing of various journals.
