Im am trying to find the best method for extracting ascorbyl palmitate from organic solvent. Could someone help me?
You can choose appropriate solvent from Solvent Miscibility Table using difference of the solvent's polarity index and miscibility.
Ascorbyl Palmitate prefers an organic solvent and not water. See solubility tables for Palmitic Acid which is in fats and oils (like coconut oil).
Cf. (e.g.): J. Ji, "Chemical synthesis of ascorbyl palmitate in [BMIM]BF4", Advanced Materials Research, Vols. 236-238, 2011, 1962-1965.
Hi Carlos
You can extract using water and de freeze under vacuum to get the compound.
Thank you Nordinali, Bruce , Carlos and Dr Alwar. Your suggestions are very helpful to be applied in my research.
Approximate concentrations are require in compared with the WHO permissible limts
