I want to do crop site suitability in rice fellow area in off season, I want to use AHP and MCDM tools. Please suggest me which are the parameters need to consider and how to integrate in ArcGIS. Please help........
You can use matlab or its open source Octave for matrix applications. Or else u have to build models in ARCGIS. I think developer licence is required for that model building!
As far as I can tell there are no inbuilt tools in ArcGIS for AHP - MCDM analysis. As rightly pointed out by Arun you may have to model your way through ArcGIS. I found some links which might be useful in this regard. Nevertheless, if you are willing to look towards the open source platforms you might have a number of options. One of them is ILWIS which is a free and open source GIS software that has an in built multi-criteria evaluation tool based on AHP. Follow the links.
For AHP first you have to select the the parameters which will help you in identifying the suitable crop area. Then you rank all your parameters on a scale of 1-5 or 1-9 and prepare a pair-wise comparison matrix and calculate the consistency ratio. If the consistency ratio value is less than 0.10 your ranks are suitable and then come to Arc GIS. Here raster calculator and weighted overlay tool in spatial analyst extension could be used for the integration of these layers. For reference see the following attachments.
Best Wishes.
