Hello,
I'm exploring the literature around Urban/Rural linkages and the areas that clearly exemplify them. I'm interested in both qualitative and quantitative demonstrations. The area of interest is Small Farming linkages with the City-Region; in other words: Papers about the benefits and services from small farming to the city-region.
However, I would like to contrast these linkages with other linkages and would be great to have inputs on the trend of these literatures.
- Are the linkages between Small Farms and the City-Region being taken into account for Urban Policy-Planning? Regional Policy-Planning?
- Are these links negligible? Or do they have a significant enough weight and influence to other urban systems? (perhaps too general, but is the direction on the question, specific cases are welcome)
Any suggestion is welcome.
Could you suggest frameworks that could accommodate these components?

In this book there is a comparative analysis between consumer behavior in rural and urban areas. It may be useful to you.
