From the recent studies, there are indications that the circulation cells (Hadley cell, Ferrell cell and Polar cell) are expected to shift poleward during warmer periods (Mbengue and Schneider 2017; Vallis et al., 2015 and reference therein) and indeed leads to poleward shifts in precipitation patterns resulting in affecting water resources and ecosystem (Feng and Fu 2013).
