Since last few weeks I am trying to download and see the back trajectory from NOAA website. But I could neither download the data nor can see online. When I brouse the link (https://www.ready.noaa.gov/HYSPLIT.php), it automatically directs to shutdown (https://government-shutdown.noaa.gov/). If it is now shutdown, how can we download HYSPLIT data or see HYSPLIT result online?
Is it just problem with me, or you have also faced same problem. I am looking forward for the solution/alternative for NOAA data.
NOAA stands for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Hello Hemraj Bhattarai i think it is a general issue, the NOAA website has been down for more than a month now, i heard from a senior colleague that it's due to funding issues.
Let's wait and see if it comes up shortly, please you have other sites for downloading data kindly share. Thanks
Charles Addey Thanks lot. I just know NOAA website which is very convinent for HYSPLIT model. I am looking forward if someone can provide some alternative for NOAA, since we don't know when it will starts its operation/website.
It was due the US government shutdown when many of the federal sites are not administered. The government is open again and it seems the website is working now - as of January 27
